TÜV SÜD PSB collaborates with Bronx Creative and Design Centre to provide technical expertise and training to the footwear industry
SINGAPORE – TÜV SÜD PSB today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Bronx Creative and Design Centre (BDC) to offer technical expertise and training to students and footwear industry partners.
The MOU will see both parties promote growth and development in the footwear industry by facilitating market access for footwear products and increasing recognition of both parties in the industry. BDC students and partners can benefit from the collaboration by understanding testing and certification requirements and staying up to date with the latest regulations and industry standards related to the footwear industry as they design new footwear products.
‘An independent third-party service provider such as TÜV SÜD PSB can support designers in new product developments from the start of the design stage to the final stage of production through product testing and certification, thereby ensuring the durability and wearability of the footwear product. By getting footwear products tested and certified by an independent third party, suppliers will be able to provide greater assurance to their clients regarding the quality and safety of their products’, said Mr Richard Hong, CEO, TÜV SÜD PSB.
With BDC’s state-of-the-art training facility and footwear prototype design programmes, coupled with TUV SUD’s technical expertise in testing, certification and training, the initiative aims to provide a well-balanced and top-class learning experience for students and partners.
